MILTON MOUNT TROPHY - 01/06/2008 This year the Milton Mount Trophy was held at the Ballast Hole on a rainy but warm overcast day. These would normally be considered ideal conditions but the sport was patchy and all the big weights came from the centre pegs of the lake. The match doubled up as the second round of the Home Championship. Phil Harris continued his phenomenal start to the season by winning for the third match in a row. Phil used a bomb with bread hookbait on a long tail. His nine carp for 53lb 4oz total put him well clear of the rest of the anglers. Chris Siddall finished second using floating dog biscuit on the waggler. Phil now has a commanding lead in the Overall Club Championship points competition. The junior trophy was won by 12 year old Kurt Holman with 2lb of roach on a waggler and maggot combination. The biggest fish landed on the day was a 8lb 6oz carp taken by Lenny Wells. 16 Anglers - Total Weight 153lb 2oz
