Home Championship Round 4 - 03/08/2008 The Dave Wild Memorial Trophy, held at the Ballast hole, was also the fourth round of the Home Championship. On a windy and rainy summer's day there was a good turnout for this match. This lake is really producing some good weights since the restocking programming started 4 years ago. Once again Phil Harris is continuing his superb form this season with another fantastic performance. Phil fished the Method Feeder baiting either paste or corn and catching mostly carp for 71lb 4oz, adding another trophy to his growing collection. The total was a new five hour match record for the venue.Second place went to Barry Wheeler who used log pole and soft pellets. Barry caught consistently from the start and finished with a mixed bag for 45lb 8oz. Third place went to Lenny Wells who used margin pole and baited with bread. Lenny only caught five fish but they were all tough fighting carp that gave him a total of 34lbs 6ozs. In the Home Championship competition Phil Harris now has an unassailable lead with only one round remaining. Lenny Wells moves up into the runner-up spot. Phil also extends his lead at the top of the Overall Club Championship and is almost certain to retain his title. 10 Anglers - Total Weight 258lb 15oz FULL RESULT
