Newpond Trophy - 7/05/2006

The fishing at the Newpond for this match proved to be a little patchy.  This however did not stop Pete Sharpe smashing the five hour venue match record with 54lb 12oz of carp from peg 28 on corn. 

Pete started fishing on the pole tight up to the reeds but later switched to a method feeder dropped in via a pole cup to avoid losing fish.  Pete's catch included a 15lb 4oz carp which heads the list for a number of specimen trophies.

In the Junior match Lukas Gill won the trophy with a 6oz of roach.
