LEN WAITE MEMORIAL - 25/06/2006

This was the first year that a match was held in memory of long time club member Len Waite. The match fished at the Newpond was also the third round of the Home Championship.

First place went to Steve Hill with yet another new venue record total of 69lb 8oz. Steve fished a method feeder with corn and pellet hookbaits from peg 23. Steve jumps to second place in the Home Championship table but is still eight points behind the run-away leader Terry Archer. Terry's third place finish also increases his lead at the top of the Overall Club Championship table.

Second place on the day was was Steve Jones with 39lb of bream and carp caught on a combination of method feeder and pole.
