Crawley vs Faulkners (Newpond - 20/08/06)

There was an excellent turn-out for the return leg against Faulkners at the Newpond, with 29 anglers competing.  Unfortunately this had an impact on the fishing with positive bites difficult to come by on the day.

First place went to the Faulkner's angler on peg 35.  The winning tactic was bread fished on a pole in the shallow water at the top end of the lake.  This tempted a mixed net of bream and carp for a 29lb 8oz total.  Crawley's Steve Jones took second place fishing pellet and paste with a method feeder on peg 32.  In third place was Paul Hearsey using a waggler with corn on peg 29. 

In the team match Crawley won convincingly with 173lb 2oz to Faulkner's 120lb 6oz.
