Transport Trophy Round 4 - 29/08/2004 The final round of the Transport Trophy was held at Snake Lake in Newdigate. Going in to the match it was very close at the top of the points table, with six anglers still in with a chance of winning the trophy. Barry Wheeler put in an excellent performance for the second match in a row in this competition, once again winning easily with 48lb 14oz. Barry fished a combination of meat paste and cat meat on the pole. Terry Archer came fifth to pick up two points to tie with Barry at the top of the table. The trophy had to be decided on the total weight over the four rounds, with Barry convincingly taking the title with 115lb 2oz to Terry's 68lb 15oz. In the overall championship previous leader Pete Sharpe dropped down to fourth place, with Barry Wheeler taking over at the top. 11 Anglers - Total Weight 145lb 4oz FULL RESULT
