Home Championship Round 3 - 3/10/2004 Twelve anglers braved the wind an rain to compete in the third round of the Home Championship held at Tilgate. Barry Wheeler continued his good run of form picking up the maximum six point to extend his lead at the top of the Overall Club Championship table. With only one round left Barry is five points clear and only a disaster should prevent him from being crowned club champion for the first time. The only other angler who can win the title is Bruce Barnett, the most successful angler in the club's history with twelve previous Club Championship titles. On the day Barry fished a method feeder and maggot to take a 14lb 4oz total. Bruce fished a feeder and corn combination for a close second with 13lb 8ozs. In the Home Championship competition it is very tight at the top of the table. Pete Sharpe jumped into the lead by finishing third in the match. He leads Barry Wheeler narrowly on weight, but there are still seven anglers mathematically still in with a chance of winning the trophy. 12 Anglers - Total Weight 70lb 2oz FULL RESULT
