Home Championship Round 2 - 05/09/2004 The second round of the Home Championship was held at the Ballast Hole. Following a heavy weed clearing session on the preceding Thursday everyone was hoping for some good fishing. However on the day the venue fished hard. Nick Ardley won the match with just 6lb 8oz of carp using a feeder and corn. Second was Mick Forrest with 5lb 9ozs of carp on floating dog biscuit. Gary Toland's two points on the day was enough to move him into the lead at the top of the home championship table. In the overall club championship Barry Wheeler maintained top position despite not weighing in any fish. Phil Harris has closed the gap at the top to just two points. Last year's club champion Nick Ardley is making a late charge and is now up to seventh place with two matches remaining. 9 Anglers - Total Weight 23lb 1oz
