Transport Trophy Round 2  - 14/09/2003

The second round of the transport trophy was held at Tilgate.  Although it was a warm September day, low catches in previous matches at the venue meant expectations weren't too high.  However, the fishing was more consistent, possibly due to the anglers being pegged with more space between them.

First was Gary Toland who had an excellent 39lb that included a superb 26lb mirror carp landed on 4lb line. This was backed up with 13lb of bream all taken using a groundbait feeder with corn on the hook.

Second was Nick Ardley with 36lb 10oz of bream and tench. Again feeder was the method, but with red worm and pinkie on the hook.  A number of lost fished proved costly for Nick.

Third was Pete Sharpe with 14lb 8oz of bream.
