ONE DAY CUP - 24/08/2003 This match was held at the Ballast Hole with the weather still very hot after the recent record temperatures. With no rain for quite a while the water level at the lake was well down and the weed growth had thickened making conditions very difficult. Phil Harris won the match using a controller float combined with chum mixer on the hook to take carp up to 7lb 8oz. The 22lb 15oz total was enough to take the one day cup and the six points for the first round of the transport trophy. Barry Wheeler had to leave an hour and a half before the end but still managed 12lb 4oz of carp for second, using the pole and corn. Ian Hodder was third using a waggler and maggot for 8lb 6oz. 12 Anglers - Total Weight 50lb 9oz Full Result
