Pike Trophy Round 1 - 06/10/2002 The first round of the Pike Trophy was held at the Buchan Park with summer like weather on the day. Eleven anglers turned out and all had takes but some anglers failed to land any fish. Dave Cleaver practised at the venue on the previous Saturday and had a number of fish to 19lb. On the day of the match there was less action, but a single 10lb 15oz fish taken on a dead roach was enough to take the win. Last year's overall winner, John Woodhouse, made a good start in defence of his title, finishing second on the day, with 3 fish for a 10lb 5oz total. Third was Chris Scadden with a 2 fish for 9lb 6oz fish. The Junior trophy winner was 12 year old Steve Bonner who had two Pike on smelt for 4lb 13oz. 11 Anglers caught 11 Fish (Total Weight 45lb 7oz) Full Results
