DAVE WILD MEMORIAL & NEWPOND JUNIOR TROPHY - 19/05/2002

The first match of the season at the Newpond proved to be difficult for most of the competitors as many of the fish were spawning.

Winner of the Dave Wild Memorial trophy was Trevor Sturgess who caught 6lb of small roach and perch on the pole from peg 4.

Second on the day was Leigh Holman who had a similar 5lb 10oz bag of fish from peg 12.

Winner of the Newpond Junior Trophy was Ashley Bonwick-Smith who fished the pole and maggot on peg 24 to take 1lb 1oz.
