BUCHAN PARK TROPHY - 30/06/2001 Thirteen anglers competed for the Buchan Park trophy over a 12 hour all night competition. The event was split in two, with a weigh in at 2am and another at 8am. At the halfway stage Duncan Elms had taken 25lb 15oz of bream to lead. Two other anglers were in contention, Pete Sharpe and Ron Elms both had similar bags of bream for 17lb 14oz and 17lb 8oz respectively. The second half of the match proved to be a lot harder, with only Ron Elms from the leading contenders managing to add to his total with a further 3lb 3oz. The second half match was won jointly by Terry Botting and Barry Wheeler both with 3lb 14oz. Overall no one could catch Duncan Elms who claimed the trophy. 13 Anglers - Total Weight 95lb 14oz
