THAMES TROPHY - 16/09/2001 Only eight anglers made the annual trip up to the Thames and fishing proved to be difficult. Lenny Wells took first place on the day and consolidated his position at the top of the Club Championship table. The 3lb 12oz catch was enough to claim the trophy and move 5 points clear of Phil Harris. Phil Harris' two points was enough to keep him at the top of the Transport Trophy table but only on weight from Grant Poole.
