Junior Teach In - 14/07/2001
Over 20 Junior anglers attended the annual teach-in held at the Ballast Hole. All the anglers caught plenty of fish in spite of some heavy showers interupting the otherwise warm sunshine.
Tuition was provided by angling coach Keith Huggins, Steve Mugridge of Jack Frost Tackle and a number of the committe members. Steve also kindly donated free tackle to all the juniors who attended.
Nick Choles enjoyed an excellent day's instruction fishing the long pole for the very first time. It didn't take long for tuition to pay off with Nick putting together a good 3lb+ net of fish including a good perch.
