FOXBRIDGE vs CRAWLEY (Foxbridge Lake - 22/07/2001) Places were at a premium for this match held on the prolific Foxbridge venue. The format for this annual match enables all of the anglers to contribute to the team's final position. Every angler fishes two matches simultaneously, one for carp and the other for silver fish. Points are awarded for the top 15 anglers in each match with the team and individual positions decided by the combined points total. Crawley Match Secretary Lenny Wells took the individual honours with a combined points total of 27 out of a possible 30. Lenny finished second in the silver fish match and third in the carp match putting in an excellent all round performance. His 51lb 3oz total included a 17lb carp taken on the pole. Winner of the silver fish match was Pete Armitage of Foxbridge. Combined with a fourth in the Carp match, Pete narrowly missed out on top place on overall weight. Third overall was Dave Dean (Foxbridge) who had the best total weight on the day of 66lb. In the team match the total weights were close but Foxbridge finished clear winners on points with 140 (315lb 8oz) to Crawley's 118 (314lb 8oz). An excellent day's fishing was had with a total weight of 630lb taken by the 30
