CRAWLEY vs Foxbridge (Transport Trophy Round 1)

Sixteen CAS anglers took on 12 from Foxbridge in the home leg of the Inter-club competition.  Crawley gained revenge for last year's defeat by claiming a narrow victory by just 5oz. (CAS 29lb 7oz / Foxbridge 29lb 2oz). FULL RESULTS

On an baking hot, calm day, Tilgate Park's Campbells lake fished extremely hard with large numbers of fish up on the surface and not interested in feeding.

Individual winner on the day was Foxbridge's Ron Lintott who managed to bank a 15lb+ carp on a 2lb bottom.  Ron added a further 2lb odd of bits for a 17lb 10oz total and a clear victory.

Amongst the Crawley anglers competing for Transport Trophy and Club Championship points, the top weights all came from the shallow top end of the lake where odd bream were taken.   Phil Harris took maximum points with 8lb 12oz from peg 36. Runner-up Nick Ardley managed 7lb 2oz from peg 2 on the opposite bank.
